How does Foothills AHEC assist with clinical placement?

  • Connects medical and physician assistant students and their academic program coordinators to community-based clinical preceptors and rotations in our 31-county service area in northeast Georgia (pictured on right)

  • Manages administrative requirements between the clinical sites and academic programs, including assisting students and preceptors with their respective credentialing processes

  • Recruits preceptors based on student and academic program needs

How do I get clinical placement assistance?

  • Contact our Clinical Training Coordinator with your desired rotation details (dates, specialty, location, etc.).

  • For clinical placement assistance outside of our service area, click the county or region on the map (pictured) in which you wish to train to determine which AHEC can assist you.
