Student Support Information
The Foothills AHEC Preceptor Coordinator assists health professions students currently enrolled in postsecondary education programs by:
- managing clinical placements
- providing housing assistance (as available)
- providing travel assistance
- providing access to online full text resources
- providing financial aid information
- providing job referral assistance after graduation
We offer this support to students at no obligation in an effort to open opportunities for them to train within the 31 counties we serve in northeast Georgia. Upon graduation, we hope that these students will consider returning to practice within one of our communities.
If you are a postsecondary student and would like to request assistance with clinical placements, along with housing or travel support as you train, please e-mail Ashley Carter with your request and attach a completed Student Support form. You may also fax your form to 770.533.9893.
