Distance Learning Network: The HealthTecdl Program
The Foothills Area Health Education Center has received a grant from the Healthcare Georgia Foundation for the development and implementation of a statewide distance learning network.
This network provides web-based delivery of educational programs free of charge. The HealthTecdl program is designed to support health professionals and strengthen services provided by nonprofit health organizations in Georgia.
The HealthTecdl program is a collaboration of the Statewide Area Health Education (AHEC) Network, the Healthcare Georgia Foundation, Techbridge (a technology partner), and Avatar Communications (a marketing and communication partner). This collaborative will provide 40 formal capacity building programs provided by nonprofit health organizations statewide. In addition, the AHEC network will utilize the HealthTecdl program to support our mission and ongoing efforts with the healthcare workforce.
